ipostparcels offers some of the cheapest and most convenient courier services from the UK to Singapore and other destinations in Southeast Asia, and it’s fast too; you can usually expect delivery to take 3 days. Note that we always aim to deliver your items within these timescales, sometimes it can take longer for your parcel to arrive if it’s going to more remote parts of a country, so if you can, allow a little extra time, just in case.

Do I need to deal with Singaporean customs?

For any parcel heading outside of the EU, you’ll need to fill out a customs form. This tells the Customs Agents in the destination country about the contents of your package so they can process it correctly.

As with most international postings, when you send a parcel to Singapore from the UK, there are sometimes additional customs duties and import taxes that need to be paid, depending on the contents. For most items with a value under around USD315, there will be no delays or GST (Goods and Services Tax) but for items over this amount, there may be a 7% GST and 1-2 days delay for processing.

If this sounds like a challenge, don’t worry - when you book your delivery with ipostparcels, we will provide you with all the correct forms you need to help your parcel through both UK and Singaporean customs.

How to package parcels to Singapore

Depending where in the UK you send from, it’s safe to say the journey to Singapore is around 7000 miles – so we certainly advise taking extra care when preparing your parcels for delivery as every parcel will go through a number of depots with both manual and automated sorting machines, not to mention the road and air transport.

At ipostparcels, we’ll carry parcels up to 25kg in weight and 80x80x80cm max in size, but no matter what the size or weight, always use a strong and sturdy outer box to send your items in and don’t overfill it. Remember to use lightweight cushioning material inside your parcel to help protect the contents from moving around too much inside and becoming damaged.
