Sending large or heavy items abroad?
You can send large parcels up to 25kg to over 160 countries worldwide. All you need to do is make sure it doesn’t exceed the maximum dimensions we can ship through our network, prices start from just £11.74 exc VAT. When sending abroad make sure you read the
prohibited and non-compensation items list and have all the necessary paperwork for the country you are sending to.
Avoid sending heavy and large items through the Post Office
Having to carry a large or heavy parcel to the post office definitely won’t be the highlight of your day, especially if there are long queues. Let us take the hassle out of posting large items across the UK or Internationally by collecting your parcel from your home or business address. There’s no extra cost for one our drivers to collect either – It’s all part of the ipostparcels service.
What can you fit in an extra-large parcel?
Many large and bulky items can be sent through our network as long as they don’t exceed our maximum dimensions of 120 x 80 x 80 or the 25kg max weight. You can send up to 20KG in our XL parcel size and the parcel should not exceed the max dimensions of 70cm or 120 x 50 x 50 or 140 x 35 x 35
Medium parcels can fit items such as laptops.
Large parcels can fit items such as a computer monitor, printer or microwave.
XL parcels can fit items such as a small TV or speakers.
XXL parcels can fit items such as a flat pack furniture or a large TV.
Remember, if you are posting large items of high value take out extended contents cover for the value of the item or items in the parcel – we offer free £25 contents cover on all UK orders and free £50 contents cover on all international orders. How heavy is an extra-large parcel?
Did you know that 2kg is the same weight as 2 Litres of water? If you’re sending an extra-large parcel which is 20-25kg, you could think about it in weight of 2L bottles of water. We would always advise that you weigh your parcel with scales to ensure you get the cheapest delivery rate and avoid having your parcel returned to you if you have under-declared the weight of the parcel.
The size and weight of your parcel matters
Our quick quote will give you the best price available based on the weight and dimensions you enter. Pricing is based on an actual weight of up to 25kg but if the volumetric weight of your parcel exceeds the actual weight, you’ll be charged the volumetric weight. That means if your parcel is larger than it is heavier then we’ll price your parcel based on the volumetric weight which is the width x height x length divided by 5000.

Packaging and waterproofing your parcel correctly is essential to ensuring your parcel arrives at it’s destination as you packaged it. Heavy and large items are often manually handled at several stages throughout the shipping process as they’ll be too big to go through our automated sortation hubs.
