The Olympics are literally a few days away and the excitement and buzz around the UK is mounting. Here at ipostparcels.com we’re truly getting into the spirit of things and have put together a competition for all of our customers.

Competition time

I’ve decided I am going to pick out a lucky winner at random for every Gold medal won by Team GB. For each Gold medal each winner will receive a £5 off their next shipment voucher available to use when booking in a parcel for next day delivery!

In it to win it

For you chance at getting £5 off your next shipment all you have to do is simply ‘follow’ @ipostparcels on twitter. Every time Team GB wins a Gold medal we’ll tweet out a message. If you retweet the message you’ll automatically be entered into the draw.

All the winners will be drawn at the end of the Olympics on August 12th 2012.

Great chance of winning

In the last Olympics held in Beijing in 2008, Team GB won a rather impressive 19 Gold medals! Judging by the athlete’s forming Team GB this time round I say we’re in for another impressive set of Gold medals coming our way.

Summer Olympic School Fete

July 5, 2012 07:31 by Parcel Pete

Hi everyone! I’ve had a really jam packed fun weekend recently. After I finished my Saturday morning deliveries I went along to Sandy Lane Primary School in Bracknell for their Summer Olympic Fete to help them raise money for their school.

It was a great day, a fantastic turnout and lots of fun activities and games such as; apple bobbing, duck hooking, a bouncy castle, a raffle and sum yummy cupcakes on sale. Take a look at what I got up to on our Facebook page:

http://www.facebook.com/#!/ipostparcels

We managed to raise a total of £3300 on the day and our parent company UK Mail also donated £1000 towards the cause.

Now that I’ve recovered from all the fun, I’m back on the road collecting and delivering all your parcels. Don’t forget we can also deliver your parcels on a Saturday morning; simply choose the option when booking your parcel.

Boost your customer service with next day delivery

July 3, 2012 04:10 by Parcel Pete

Every business person knows that success in enterprise depends to a large extent on satisfying customers and making sure the standard of product they receive and the way in which they are treated is up-to-scratch.

It is therefore only by implementing rigorous and effective customer service policies that you can expect your firm to enjoy long-lasting prosperity. This is particularly the case these days. After all, consumers have many different companies to turn to, so if they are not happy with your provisions, they will simply head elsewhere. Furthermore, the internet has seen the significance of user feedback rise considerably.

Parcel collection and delivery

If your company is involved in the sale of items to consumers over the phone, via the web and so on, parcel collection and delivery is likely to be one of the issues you have to focus on. This plays an intrinsic role in customer service. If people do not get their goods on time or the items arrive in a damaged condition because of their treatment while in transit, they are not likely to be pleased.

This may mean they do not come back for more of your products in future and, worse still, they may also criticise you to their friends and family and over the web in places like Facebook and Twitter.

ipostparcels.com Parcel Delivery

This is where we come in. Here at ipostparcels, we provide a superb express delivery service that can help you get your items from A to B within no time and in perfect condition.

Our next day delivery options can thus help bolster your customer service.

Bring me Labels

June 28, 2012 09:31 by Parcel Pete

Hi everyone! Over recent times I’ve been receiving your feedback which is very important to us all here at ipostparcels.com. I’ve taken your comments on board and have been working very hard over the weeks on a new feature to our service called ‘Bring me Labels’.

Labels Delivered to You

The new Bring me Labels feature does exactly what it says on the tin, we bring you the labels! So you no longer need to worry if you don’t have a printer or have run out of ink or paper as we will print your labels and bring them to you when we collect your parcel. Or if you want to make it hassle free for someone to send you a parcel from eBay for example then this is great (all they have to do is wrap  the item appropriately).  The cost of this service is just 49p per parcel!

However there are a few important things to note, if you are booking more than one parcel, then you will need to have the labels for every parcel in that booking bought to you by the driver. Also, we’re unable to give you the option to leave your parcels in a safe place for collection as the driver won’t know which parcel to attach which label too etc.

So there we have it, hassle free next day parcel collection and delivery.

How to select your parcel courier

June 26, 2012 11:22 by Parcel Pete

When a person requires the services of a parcel courier company it can be difficult to decide on which ones are best. Also, there are so many numerous companies, selecting one that you can rely on can be overwhelming. However, there are many different things to look for that will help you choose the perfect service for your needs.

Important Factors

One of the most important factors to consider when looking through courier companies is a delivery service that guarantees to deliver your parcels at their destination at the stated date/time. The items also should be secure in their original condition; they should not be mishandled or damaged when they reach the recipient. Look into the history of the company and whether their existing customers have been satisfied with the service they have received. The type of service you require will also affect which service you chose. For instance, if you need next day delivery you need to opt for a company that is widespread enough to deliver your package in this time.

It is not just about the price!

The price does not typically reflect the quality; it is better to look at reliability. If you can get both low cost and good service then you've hit the jackpot! Parcel tracking is always a good idea so check whether a company provides this service. Knowing your parcel has been collected and delivered successfully gives peace of mind and avoids any failure to deliver so delivery notification are very helpful. When sending more valuable goods such as electricals, it is wise to consider extra cover to give you peace of mind. If limited free cover is offered check up to what value this is and insure you are sufficiently covered.

Great Midlands Fun Run

June 21, 2012 06:58 by Parcel Pete

Hi Everyone,

Hope you’re having a good week so far. As usual I’ve been up and down the country from one postcode to another with parcel deliveries. However on Sunday 10th June I decided to get my running shoes on and raise money for charity by taking part in The Great Midlands Fun Run.

The Great Midlands Fun Run is an 8.5 mile course but it’s not a race and anyone and everyone can take part. I was raising money for The Birmingham Children’s Hospital and to raise that little bit extra me and my friends carried a bath tub the whole way so supporters could throw in some extra money whilst on route.

It was a great day with a fantastic turnout, I managed to finish the run (bath in tow) in 2 hours and 11 minutes, just take a look at some of the pictures:

http://www.facebook.com/ipostparcels

No rest for the wicked though, I’m back out on the road making my next day deliveries and collecting parcels from your homes and places of work.  Don’t forget you can also save £1.00 by dropping your parcels at one of our local depots.

Father's Day Ideas

June 14, 2012 04:30 by Fahmeda A - Parcel Pete's Helper

Father’s day is fast approaching… Sunday 17th to be exact. Here at ipostparcels.com we’ve been very busy delivering parcels to Fathers all around the UK. From small to large we’ve been collecting parcels day in day out and we’re sure there will be some very happy Dad’s this Sunday!

Gift Ideas

The ipostparcels.com team have put our creative thinking caps on and come up with a few little ideas for you to treat your Dad to this Sunday:

> New dads or dads to be- an alarm clock! Say’s it all really, gone are the days of lie in’s its now 6am starts, kids to spruce and school runs.

> Dads keepsake box- this idea is one of our fave’s and is a lovely sentiment.  Get yourself a deep metal box (very manly) and fill with a few pictures/items that mean something to get him started. He can then continue to add his own little treasures in that remind him of the joys of being a Dad.

> Or if you want to go all out, get him a barbeque. All Dads love barbeques, they’re in their element when they’re manning the grill, so why not treat him to a new one.  Don’t forget we can collect it from you and then deliver it on to him the next day.

So with some new ideas to think about and only a few days left till Sunday our next day service can help you put a smile on your Dad’s face.

Parcel delivery services have come a long way

June 12, 2012 03:55 by Parcel Pete

In the past, the types of parcel delivery service available to people were slow and inefficient. However, over recent times, such provisions have come on leaps and bounds and they are now extremely sophisticated and effective.

This is in part thanks to improvements in the transport network around the UK. However, this can only take some of the credit. After all, while the roads and vehicles that use them have been getting better, the volume of traffic on the highways has also risen, causing increased congestion.

One of the main causes for the enhancements in parcel collection and delivery provisions stems from the fact that innovative and dedicated firms like us here at ipostparcels have been established.

We know all there is to know when it comes to moving parcels around the UK. Meanwhile, we utilise the internet to optimum effect, helping to make our offerings more competitive and efficient.

Thanks to us and organisations like us, it is now possible to benefit from guaranteed next day delivery and other such services from only £3.74 +vat.  So, if you need to book such assistance in a hurry, you have come to the right place.

And technology has also enabled us to boost customer service. For example, if you make an order with us, you can track its progress online using your unique order ID number.

These days, rather than having to queue for long periods of time to drop your parcels off at your local post office, you can now simply arrange for the parcels to be picked up from your home or workplace.
