Keep your Kids Busy this Summer

clock August 2, 2013 05:46 by author Fahmeda A - Parcel Pete's Helper

The school summer holidays are in full force and six weeks can seem like a long time to keep your kids entertained. Here at ipostparcels.com we’ve put together a few ideas to keep them busy this summer without breaking the bank!

Blue Peter Badge:

With a Blue Peter Badge children have free access to over 200 UK national attractions including Alton Towers, Chester Zoo and Stonehenge. A badge can be gained by entering competitions, writing in with interesting stories, poems , pictures, the more creative the better so get that PVA glue out.

Beaches:

We’re lucky to have some beautiful beaches across the UK so why not take the family along with a disposable BBQ and make the most of the British Summer. Most beaches have designated times/spaces for BBQ’s so be sure to check beforehand. Parcel Pete personal favourite beach is Sandsend Beach in Whitby, Yorkshire.

Theme Parks:

Don’t pay over the odds for theme parks, you can easily find special offers online and if you’re a Tesco clubcard holder you can exchange your points for tickets to a theme park in return.  Monday’s tend to be a bit quieter than the latter half of the week.

Museums:

Majority of museums are free throughout the year. Give your kids an educational, yet fun experience whilst they’re off school. Take some packed lunches along with you and it works out to be a cheap yet cheerful day all round.

Parcel Wrapping:

If all else fails then get them to help you wrap your parcels for delivery. Bubble wrap is fab way to keep them busy!
