About Spain

Spain, officially the Kingdom of Spain, is a sovereign state located on the Iberian Peninsula in south-western Europe.  It is bordered to the south and east by the Mediterranean Sea, to the north by France and Andorra, to the west and northwest by Portugal and the Atlantic Ocean. Other than France and Morocco, it is one of only three countries to have both Atlantic and Mediterranean coastlines.  Spain also includes the Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean Sea, the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean and a number of uninhabited islands on the Mediterranean side of the Strait of Gibraltar, known as plazas de soberanía.

The Spanish road system is mainly centralized, with six highways connecting Madrid to the Basque Country, Catalonia, Valencia, West Andalusia, Extremadura and Galicia. Additionally, there are highways along the Atlantic Cantabrian and Mediterranean coasts, which is all the better for our road services as we are able to get to all the major locations easily.
